WINSTED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

In the northwest corner of CT, prominently positioned on a hill overlooking the town and surrounded by unobstructed views of rolling hills, sits the former Winsted Memorial Hospital.  The original Administration Building was constructed in 1902.  The hospital building was constructed in 1957.  In partnership with the Winsted Health Center, the development envisions the conversion of the +70,000 sq. ft. former hospital campus into a vibrant live/work/wellness space, including residential apartments, the continuation and expansion of the current VA health clinic, and venues for job training and entrepreneur shared and private workspaces, including “makerspace”, allowing access, innovation, and training for those wishing to start and operate their own business.  Residents will enjoy multiple rooftop terraces with lovely views, a chapel, and 11+ acres.

The building is moments from a variety of local restaurants and shops, a brewery, the YMCA, Northwestern CT Community College, the Mad River, and the heart of Winsted’s downtown.
